This week turned cool in Paris and I was craving Boeuf Bourguignon. It's homey and filling and oh so French. If you ever saw or read Julie and Julia, you know what I mean.
But with it the height of summer, Boeuf Bourguignon has not been at the top of the Plat du Jour in any of the restaurants we have been to, until today! Although we were headed to another restaurant for lunch we detoured right into Forum Cafe, 6arr, Pairs.
It was just what I wanted. Was it the best I have ever had? No. But homey and warm and oh what a price and just what a cool rainy day in Paris called for! Only 8.5 Euro! That's a real bargain in this city!
Forum Cafe is located 1 Rue Littré, 75006 Paris, France.
If you want to try Julia Child's recipe, Knoff has a PDF of it here.

This is so funny....I just had beef bourguignon on Wednesday night here in Washington at Poste Moderne Brasserie. It was delicious but the A/C was out of order and it was 92 degrees outside. Must have been almost that hot in the restaurant! However, the dish was so amazing that it was almost worth the pain endured to consume it! Now we just need to dig out our Julia Child book and learn to make it, right? Here's the link: http://www.postebrasserie.com/
