Bananas and Bread Pudding...Love them? Or NOT!

Bananas and bread pudding share a common thread: Those who love them really do, and those who don't -- well, they really don't. Which side are you on?

Desperation Dinners newspaper column reader Maura Bouillot of Broken Arrow, OK, says:

"Your article was right --  people who love bread pudding are fanatics about it. Unfortunately, those of us who are not fans really dislike it. I fall into the latter category, and I also am not a big fan of bananas except in banana cream pie and banana bread. However, my daughter loves bread pudding, and my husband is lukewarm about bread pudding but likes bananas in almost anything, so I am willing to give the recipe a shot."

At least there's a sweet silver lining in this dessert conundrum for Maura:

"I do love fudge sauce, and that recipe looks really good, so even if the pudding is not a hit with me, I can always enjoy the fudge sauce over ice cream!"
