Can carrots be junk food? That’s what 49 carrot farmers are hoping -- and they’ve launched a $25 million marketing campaign to make it happen.

Quick -- check out babycarrots.com -- you won’t believe it! There’s a baby carrots iPhone App that’s a video game, baby carrot UTube videos and snazzy new baby carrot packaging that mimics junk food bags. The site is actually very cool.

All of this is intended to entice kids and young adults to eat baby carrots like candy. But will it work? What do you think?

If they really want to market carrots as junk food they should serve them in gas stations and at movie theaters! Quality junk food can be purchased anywhere. This is a great idea that I hope catches on because baby carrots are a great snack. They are almost as good as apples.
