Do you enjoy your favorite espresso drinks at home? I have to admit, I try, but I can't seem to get them right. In honor of National Coffee Week, I thought I'd see what your hints for great espresso drinks at home are. I took the above photo at a coffee bar in Seattle which is where I fell in love with espresso drinks of all kinds.
It helped tremndously that I was dating a great guy who would bring me a homebrewed espresso specialty drink every morning before my feet even hit the floor. But then Seattle is the home of Starbucks and they really do take coffee seriously there. Their passion for great coffee has spread to the rest of the US, too, if the facebook status updates and tweets about Starbucks' Pumpkin Spiced Latte days is any indication.
So, do you make espresso at home? What kind of coffee and machine do you use? Tomorrow I'll review my machine and tell you what I like and don't like about it.

I wanted to take the time to say that your cookbook has been the best addition to my kitchen! I'm not a great cook and my youngest son is an extremely picky eater which makes cooking frustrating, but I've found several recipes that he likes & I enjoy making. I like how you walk through the steps to actually put things together. Many times, I've read the "prep times" in a recipe & go "Oh, yeah, right - I need to add another 30 minutes to their estimate." Your cookbook is really accurate and that makes my life much easier!

I like to have coffee at least twice a day. But I am really bad at making a good brew at home. I wish I could do better at it.
