Featured Recipe: Chocolate Cherry Tart
A tart, is essentially a large flat pie. And boy are they easy! We love to use refrigerated pie crust, ready to roll (literally) and fill it with just about anything you'd fill a pie with. This Chocolate Cherry Tart is perfect for cherry season, and with a cherry pitter it's ultra easy.
For the 4th of July, since I'm not in the states to celebrate, we toasted our great nation with a raspberry tart and champagne on our balcony. It was so good, we didn't even slice it, but ate it straight off the serving plate.

The chocolate tart originated in a cooking class I took some 20 years ago in Raleigh with Janet Grennes. I'm not sure where she got the recipe, but I know it was French.....so all things French for now!!
