It was a rude crash into my dream world in Paris when I woke up over the weekend with no wi-fi network. Customer service is a bit different here in Paris and the weekend is the weekend and no one works. On Sunday I thought I'd look up on Google to find the nearest internet cafe ... oh yeah, you don't have Google, cause you don't have internet. So it wasn't until late Monday I got someone out to look at the network problems. Tuesday we'd planned and purchased tickets to go to Versailles, so it was Tuesday night when I was first able to get back on Kitchen Scoop since Friday night.
That's when I found out the server for the Kitchen Scoop website was down and wouldn't be back up for at least another 24 hours...Dang! Well that's not really what I said, it was a bit more colorful than that. But the good news is I'm back on, back live and will have more terrific updates from Paris very soon. Thanks for hanging in there with me! The photo above is from the Pompidou Center (the Modern Art Museum in Paris) of a reflective, sound and interactive movement art installation. As you moved in and out of the art, hanging like a huge mobile from the ceiling, the discs would spin and pour out various sounds, like organ music, traffic, static and horns according to your movement. Confused and frustrated? Yeah, I was too, and it's just what I felt like when I lost my internet not once, but twice! So I thought it an appropriate photo to accompany this blog....when all the internet
