I've been bereft since Chik-fil-A removed my favorite slaw from their menu. I did find the original slaw recipe on the Chik fil A website, inside.chikfila.com/. It has a big dose of sugar and real mayonnaise, making it clear why I enjoyed it so much all those years. There also seems to be several petitions to influence the change. But until they come to their senses and bring it back to the menu, here it is for us to enjoy at home.

Chik fil A ® Cole Slaw

4 teaspoons white distilled vinegar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup mayonnaise
20 ounces finely shredded green cabbage, chopped (2 10-ounce bags of already chopped cabbage is great!)
1/4 cup finely chopped carrots

Whisk vinegar, sugar, mustard and salt together until sugar is dissolved. Whisk in mayonnaise. Add cabbage and carrots. Mix to combine. Refrigerate 2 hours and serve.
