Heirloom Tomato Salad with Buttermilk-Peppercorn Dressing

Heirloom Tomato Salad with Buttermilk-Peppercorn Dressing
4 medium heirloom tomatoes, variety of choice
dressing:
1/2 cup low fat buttermilk
1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
1/4 cup low fat mayonnaise
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1/2 teaspoon course ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1. Wash and core tomatoes. Peel if desired, and slice into 1/4-inch slices. Place decoratively on a platter or individual salad plates. Set aside.
2. Prepare the dressing: Mix all the ingredients in a small jar or container with a lid. Whisk well and refrigerate until ready to use. Serve with salad of choice, about 1 tablespoon per serving. Dressing makes about 1 cup.
