Quick Balsamic Reduction Sauce

3/4 cup balsamic vinegar
¼ cup light or brown sugar, tightly packed
1 bay leaf

In a small saucepan, combine all the ingredients. Stir and heat over medium- high heat just until mixture boils at the edges and sugar is fully dissolved. Remove from heat, cool at least five minutes or until needed. Remove bay leaf and serve over your choice of steamed or roasted vegetables.
