Fast, easy, kid-friendly, family dinners is what we cook, write about -- and some nights even dream about. Desperation Dinners! first appeared over a decade ago, and while a few things have changed, some things never do. Busy cooks still need terrific recipes they can count on. We made some promises back then and we're sticking to them now:

These Recipes Are Not Hard.

If you can flip a pancake, chop an onion and stir with a wooden spoon, you can make a Desperation Dinner.

Our Recipes Don't Lie.

If a recipe doesn't count the time it takes to bake, peel, and chop, it's just not accurate. When we say 20 minutes, that's exactly what we mean. We cook with a stopwatch.

These recipes taste great.
